YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES COUNSELOR. Full time Youth and Family Service Counselor needed to provide school-based individual and group counseling services to at-risk youth and their families in seven counties in northwestern Michigan. Preference will be given to applicants with a master’s degree in a mental health related field. Reliable transportation and a strong ability to connect with troubled youth is required. Third Level Crisis Intervention Center, a dynamic non-profit agency based in Traverse City, is committed to providing mental health prevention and early intervention services to adults and youth in northern-lower Michigan.

COUNSELOR-TEMPORARY/PART-TIME Street Outreach Worker to work during the months of June, July, and August, 2008. Experience in direct care is preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field. Preference will be given to candidates with training in crisis intervention and demonstrated aptitude for working with high-risk youth. Having reliable automobile and adequate motor vehicle insurance are also requirements for this position.

Duties include providing crisis intervention, outreach and risk reduction activities to high risk street youth, homeless and throwaway youth; working with other agencies, schools and law enforcement agencies on community approach to homelessness among youth; providing case management services to youth, community education services, and on-call coverage; traveling within the five-county contracted area and beyond, as necessary; and maintaining appropriate records and client statistics.

CASE MANAGER--TRANSITIONAL LIVING PROGRAM. Full time Case Manager needed to provide case management and over site to participating youth including educational planning, financial literacy training, and living skills training within the seven county area. Ability to develop and present community education and training seminars is desired. A Bachelor's Degree in a human services field is preferred with at least two years of experience working with youth populations is required. Having reliable automobile and adequate motor vehicle insurance are also requirements for this position.
